We are looking for responsible high school volunteers to help with our summer camp programs. Volunteers are need at three different facilities: Starkey Educational Center, Concourse Educational Center (Safety Town), and Energy and Marine Center. Students will need to provide or coordinate their own transportation to and from the centers. Volunteers are needed from 8-3:30, Monday – Thursday on the following dates: June 8-11, June 15-18, June 22-25, June 29-July 2, July 6-9 and July 13-17. Some of the volunteer duties are as follows:
- Assist teachers with set up and clean up of camp lessons
- Act as an assistant during teaching
- Chaperone students during kayaking
- Chaperone students during lunch/bathroom/transitional times
- Pass out and collect supplies
- Help with collection of specimens
- Help with the feeding of EMC center fish/animals
- Help with the maintenance of grounds around the EMC, Starkey and Safety Town
- Chaperone students on field trips
- Dames Caves
- FL Aquarium
