Anclote High School’s Energy Academy students, along with students from Marchman’s Electricity Program, presented a STEM integration activity for students at Sunray Elementary. Students engaged in activities that deepened their understanding of energy ‘at work’.
Chemistry students at AHS discover the power of spectroscopy as an analytic technique. Dr. Michael Allen, Director of Marketing and Product Development at Ocean Optics, visited Miss Adams’ Chemistry students explaining the basis for understanding how forensic investigators might apply spectroscopy techniques to the determination of materials failure and to the examination of cellular materials such as blood and tissue.
Congratulations to Brittany Elkins, Anclote High School’s Class of 2014 Valedictorian! She will earn her AA degree from PHSC this year prior to graduation and will be attending Western Carolina University in the fall, majoring in Mathematics Education. Brittany’s dedication to academics and her perseverance to succeed are greatly admired.
