Powder Puff 2014


Congratulations SENIORS!! The seniors beat the sophomores in sudden death to take the victory in finals of the 2014 Powder Puff game. The Sophomores performed an awesome routine and took first place for the cheerleaders! Thank you to all of the players, cheerleaders, coaches, and staff for making this event so successful. A very special thank you to Ms. Piazza for organizing this exciting event for our students.

AHS Academy of Energy at Sunray Elementary

Anclote High School’s Energy Academy students, along with students from Marchman’s Electricity Program, presented a STEM integration activity for students at Sunray Elementary. Students engaged in activities that deepened their understanding of energy ‘at work’.

Ocean Optics Visits AHS Chemistry Classes


Students were able to practice with a spectrometer during the visit from Dr. Allen.

Chemistry students at AHS discover the power of spectroscopy as an analytic technique. Dr. Michael Allen, Director of Marketing and Product Development at Ocean Optics, visited Miss Adams’ Chemistry students explaining the basis for understanding how forensic investigators might apply spectroscopy techniques to the determination of materials failure and to the examination of cellular materials such as blood and tissue.
