GRADUATION PRACTICE
Graduation practice will be held on Thursday, May 29th from 8:30-11:30 in the AHS gymnasium. Practice is mandatory and students are expected to arrive on time and stay the entire practice session. Students must be present in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. Students must arrange work schedules and appointments to attend the complete practice session. Please see Mrs. Helfrich with extenuating circumstances no later than May 21st.
GRADUATION INFORMATION
Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the University of South Florida Sun Dome. The university charges $5.00 parking fee. Tickets are not required for admission to the ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 A.M. Seniors are to report at 9:00 A.M. at the University of South Florida Sun Dome to prepare for the ceremony. Students are to enter at the Coral which is to the right of Gate D. Students are to carry their cap and gown into the Corral.
GRADUATION ATTIRE
In order to maintain the dignity of the ceremony, a strict dress code is required. Gentlemen must wear dark pants, shirt, tie and dark shoes. Ladies must wear dresses, skirts, or dark pants. Both must wear dress shoes. No sneakers or casual flip-flops will be allowed.
CAPS
Students may decorate the top flat surface of their caps, as long as it is in “good taste”. All decorum is limited to single dimension (nothing can be hanging or two dimensional). If you are not sure if the decoration is appropriate please see Mrs. Helfrich.
Please remember participation in the graduation ceremony is a privilege and students will be denied participation if not dressed appropriately.
