Please review this letter about state/district assessments your child will be taking this school year. Please see our testing calendar for specific testing dates. May Parent Testing Letter 2026
Fun Fact – the amount of students who test, depends if our school earns a school grade. Per FL state, we must test 95% of students in order to earn any grade. The school grade we earn is equally as important as it effects our funding, supports, opportunities and more! Passing assessments plays a role in our school grade along with many other attributes (acceleration points, graduation rate, learning gains, and more). Intersted in how this works, join our SAC committee next school year.
AHS GOALS: Test 95% of students and earn a “B” school grade for this year, 25-26!
How can you help?
- Ensure your student knows when they are testing! Your support and communication at home is also necessary as it shows students the importance of taking school seriously.
- Help them study: using flash cards, reviewing notes and review sheets with them.
- Getting a good night sleep and eating a good breakfast is essential for good brain health as it fuels our brains to help us concentrate and “jog” our memory for answers!
