Anclote High School is proud to announce our 2013-14 Most Outstanding Senior – Trent Crawford. This honor is unique in that nominees for Most Outstanding Senior are first selected by the Senior Class and then the Top 10 are voted upon by the staff. Trent is a member of the Varsity Football, Soccer, and Track teams. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the Senior Class and actively involved in the community, while maintaining a weighted G.P.A. of 4.52. Congratulations Trent!
The Marching Sharks recently competed in the Music Performance Assessment at Hernando High School, receiving a rating of EXCELLENT for their La Nouba show. Additional honors of Excellent for Percussion and Superior for Auxiliary/Color Guard were earned. At the regional cross country meet held at Anclote High School this past Saturday, our varsity girls qualified to compete at the state championship meet next Saturday in Tallahassee – our first state qualifying team. They placed 6th out of 30 teams in our region! The following girls qualified: Perla Saucedo, Andrea Ferguson, Daena Young, Gabby Miller, Ashley Scaperotti, Natalie Gonzalez, and Elli Blow. Congratulations ladies!
Anclote High School’s Varsity Football team made school history Friday night by defeating the Hudson Cobras 35-14 for the Class 5A-District 7 title. The Sharks dominated the game while celebrating Senior Night! AHS will host Tarpon on Friday, November 15th at 7:30 p.m. Congratulations!!
