Back 2 Back District Champs!

The Lady Sharks Basketball team defeated the River Ridge Knights, for the second year in a row, to defend their title in the District Finals 38-34 on Friday. Coached by Brittany Szunko and Kerri Rulison-Lange, the ladies finished the regular season 21-4 before heading into post-season play. The Sharks host Weeki Wachee in Regional competition Thursday, February 9 at 7:00.

Pasco County Youth Volunteer of the Year!

Anclote High School is proud to announce that Junior, Avalon Moorehead, was named Youth Volunteer of the Year for Pasco County! Avalon has logged more that 200 hours volunteering at Gulfside Elementary. Avalon is the third Shark student in a row to win this prestigious honor. AHS is very proud of her commitment to serving others and REPin’ the Sharks!

College Signings

Congratulations to DJ Proper and Sara Dicarlo on signing their National Letters of Intent on February 1, National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Both ladies will be playing Volleyball at the next level as DJ will be joining the Hillsborough Community College Hawks and Sara will be traveling to Georgia to join the Piedmont College Lions. AHS is very proud of both the academic and athletic excellence these ladies exemplify.

HOSA Excels

Anclote High School HOSA students recently competed at a Regional event showcasing their health care and leadership skills. Congratulations to Seniors, Crystal Roberts and Virginia Kastrati, on their first place finishes in Health Education. Seniors Christopher Knowles and Jacob Longworth placed first in Medical Innovations and sophomore Ariana Hambel placed 4th in Medical Math. Congratulations to all of our students representing the Sharks!

Celebrating Success!

Congratulations to all of the students recognized in the recent Semester 1 Celebration. Students with fewer than ten absences first semester and earning A’s, B’s, and C’s for their semester grades were treated to inflatables, cotton candy, slushies, and a variety of other events and activities. We are very proud of our Sharks for consistently demonstrating EXCELLENCE!

Dental Clinic Now Open

Did you know that Gulfside Community School now has a Dental clinic? Gulfside, Paul R Smith Middle and Anclote High students can get screenings, cleanings, fluoride and sealants while they are at school! Medicaid and private insurance are accepted. AHS Awarded Cambridge Programme

Anclote High School is proud to announce our partnership with Cambridge International in offering the Cambridge Programme to students beginning the 2017-18 school year. Students entering ninth or tenth grade in August 2017 will have the opportunity to apply to this academically rigorous program. We are honored to join the Cambridge International family of schools offering innovative excellence in learning. Cambridge programmes prepare students for life – helping them to develop an informed curiosity and lasting passion for learning. Cambridge helps students become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged as they develop skills, characteristics and a mindset to meet the demands of tomorrow’s world, while shaping a better world for the future. Applications will be available on our school website beginning January 16.
