For the Love of Science!

photo 2 photo 1 photo 1[1]AHS students had a terrific day in our science classes today. Miss Fenton’s classes did a density lab creating a rainbow of sugar water while Miss Holloman’s classes dissected frogs. The students were highly engaged in the activities right before break!

IMG_0795Congratulations to Mia Lockhart who earned an athletic scholarship to Broward College! Mia’s outstanding leadership and skilled play help lead the Lady Sharks this season. Mia now also holds the school record in kills.

MyFoxPrep Rally at AHS!

MyFoxPrep RallyWe would like to thank the students and staff for their incredible support and participation during the My Fox Prep Rally this past Friday as Anclote High School hosted Charlie Belcher and Hot 101.5. It was an exciting event and we just want to say how proud we were of our students and their tremendous display of school spirit and Shark Pride during a very memorable experience for everyone. Most Outstanding Senior

IMG_0767Anclote High School is proud to announce our 2013-14 Most Outstanding Senior – Trent Crawford. This honor is unique in that nominees for Most Outstanding Senior are first selected by the Senior Class and then the Top 10 are voted upon by the staff. Trent is a member of the Varsity Football, Soccer, and Track teams. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, Treasurer of the Senior Class and actively involved in the community, while maintaining a weighted G.P.A. of 4.52. Congratulations Trent!

Go Marching Sharks!

The Marching Sharks recently competed in the Music Performance Assessment at Hernando High School, receiving a rating of EXCELLENT for their La Nouba show. Additional honors of Excellent for Percussion and Superior for Auxiliary/Color Guard were earned.
