Following the assessment window for FSA EOC exams it was discovered that calculators provided to students at Anclote High School for session 2 of the Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 EOC did not meet state specifications. Anclote High School provided students with scientific calculators test administrators deemed appropriate, however, we have recently learned these calculators did include prohibited functionalities. As a result, the Florida Department of Education has made a determination to invalidate all FSA Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 EOC assessments administered at Anclote High School during the recent assessment window. The invalidation of student scores will not be reflected in grades or credit earned in these courses. Administrators will be visiting classrooms on Wednesday and letters will be sent home with impacted students with additional information. I understand the impact these circumstances and decisions have on our students and apologize for the actions of Anclote High School that resulted in these consequences.
