Congratulations to our girls swim team on their victory over Ridgewood 78-52 last week – the first swim victory in Anclote history! Our Lady Sharks Volleyball team is on a hot streak with victories last week over Hudson, Wesley Chapel, and Sunlake. This week we take on Wiregrass and Fivay in our first home game. The JV Football team had a big win in their opener defeating Ridgewood 40-0. Great job athletes!
On 8/27 Chef Wright and students, Dylan Dombroski, Hailey Nigro, Kiana Wiggins, and Joseph Wallace were invited to attend US Food’s annual culinary trade show. The show was held at the Tampa Bay Times Forum where the students created and cooked various vegetable recipes for chefs and restaurant owners in the Tampa Bay area.
Carin Zubillaga and the employees of Trinet graciously donated 25 backpacks and school supplies! On behalf of AHS faculty and staff as well as our AHS students and their families – thank you for assisting in removing the barriers to our students’ education! You are appreciated!
Anclote High School opened the year with a terrific first week. We would like to thank the students for their positive attitudes in adjusting to some of the new changes on campus. Parents are encouraged to review the school planners sent home with students this week, which includes important information. First period teachers also reviewed key Planner Points to Review with students this week. While this information does highlight key points, students and parents are still responsible for all information contained in the student planner.
As we begin the school year, parents are reminded to review the information provided in the school newsletter with their students. Newsletters were mailed home in August and are also available on the school website. In addition, students will be receiving district planners this week with valuable information.
